Columbia Man Hit By Vehicle In Downtown SonoraTuesday, March 31, 2009 - 06:40 PM

Sonora, CA -- A Columbia man was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Sonora.
Police Chief Mark Stinson says 63-year-old Robert Escobor stepped off the sidewalk between two parked vehicles and was backed into by a driver. The accident was near the intersection of Washington and Yaney. The vehicle that hit Escobor was driven by 66-year-old David Iserman of Twain Harte.
Escobar reported pain in his left side. Stinson says the incident is still under investigation.
